General information
Cell lines: Evercyte offers the establishment of reporter cell lines from telomerized cells from different tissues and organs (e.g. skin, cornea, lung, vascular system, kidney, placenta) as well as from customer-derived cell lines.
Overexpression of green fluorescent protein (GFP) in human endothelial cells
maintenance of cell type specific markers upon ectopic expression of GFP
Transfection of telomerized human umbilical vein endothelial cells HUVEC/TERT2 with a plasmid carrying gfp and selection of transfectants. Characterization studies of GFP-expressing cells demonstrate that cell-type specific functions such as formation of tubule-like structures on Matrigel matrix are maintained.
